A New Place!

We just signed a lease for a condo! We are really excited to be in a new place, but not vey excited to move again. Our current apartment is just too small for us, and we really wanted a backyard for Major. It's still a 1 bedroom condo, but it's 300 square feet bigger and has a backyard and garage. The backyard. We had it written into the lease that we could purchase a new backdoor and install a doggie door for Major. This way I won't have to worry about him when Jordan is out of town and I'm working a 12-hour shift.
This is taken from the living room. The fireplace is there on the left, this is the door to the backyard, and the eat-in kitchen area is there to the right.

Nice kitchen!

Sleepy Major

Major had a mass removed off his paw this morning. He's been so cute since I brought him home, just sleeping away. He is so tired from the anesthesia and somewhat grumpy too I might add! Surgery was a success they said, and it was a benign lump so yay!

Thief!

Jordan traveled last week for work, and when he travels he reads quite a bit on his kindle. I received an email Thursday night confirming the purchase of a kindle book (our Amazon account sends e-mails to my email address whenever something new is bought). No big deal, except of course the title of the book: Confessions of a Vixen. Yes, I know exactly what kind of book this sounds like so when Jordan got home I mentioned the book to him. Well, turned out someone had snatched his kindle from him at the airport and had the nerve to buy some porno book with pictures and all (I might be guilty of looking up the book to see if it was what it sounds like!) We had a good laugh about that! I also ordered him a new one since he was really upset about it getting stolen, and will be traveling a lot the next few months.

Coyote Bluff

I can't believe I forgot to mention that we ate at Coyote Bluff when we went to Amarillo! My grandma and papa had taken us there several years ago, but we had never taken Jordan there. It is known for it's Burger From Hell, which is what the show, Man V. Food, highlighted when it filmed in Amarillo. It is delicious! It's definitely a place you wouldn't enter without hearing how good it is since it looks a little run down! My favorite thing is the toilet in the front that has fake flowers in it, haha (you can just barely see it in this picture to the left of the front deck).

Amarillo & Nanny's Birthday

We went to Amarillo a few weekends ago to celebrate my Nanny's 80th birthday! We had a big get-together with that side of the family on Saturday night to celebrate her birthday, and we also saw the other side of the family. It was a busy, busy weekend trying to fit in visiting with all the family, but we had a wonderful time!

Christmas pic for my parents maybe? haha

I have to say our original post assignment of Fairbanks, Alaska sure sounds good right about now!

Mmmm good!

Last week I tried making homemade pasta-yes I made the dough, rolled it, and cut it up! I saw a show on the Cooking Channel and thought it looked simple enough. And Jordan had had a long week at work so I thought I'd make him something special. It actually was very easy to do and extremely tasty! It was a green, spinach pasta with a creamy squash and onion sauce. This is Jordan telling me to stop taking pictures of him so he could eat, haha!
Isn't he so handsome?!
The picture doesn't really do it justice since it kinda looks gross here in the picture. I guess I'm not that great of a food photographer!
