3rd Times the Charm! Hopefully!

One of the few times Major actually got up there with Jordan. He won't stay up there and cuddle with him, and I think it's frustrating Jordan. Major is usually really cuddly, but I guess he's freaked out or something. He certainly won't go near the crutches! If they are really visible, Major won't even go in that room!

Jordan had a scope done on his knee today to hopefully finally fix it. It was a very short surgery, and the dr. seemed very optimistic. He found a bunch of scar tissue right near his IT band (which is where last surgery was done) and removed it. He said this is what has been causing his pain for the last 3 years. Jordan was most likely born with this scar tissue or it developed by age 18. He said there isn't much literature on removing this scar tissue but the patients he has done this with have all been fixed. It is a rare thing he said so that's why no other doctor has mentioned this before. We are hoping he is right! Jordan says purple is his color. haha

In the recovery room. He was VERY happy to be drinking a Dr. Pepper!

He is doing okay now. He is in quite a bit of pain, which I was wasn't expecting. The last surgery he had (which was much more invasive than this one), he hardly experienced any pain. The pain pills are not doing much for him so hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Oh Valentines Day

Valentines Day was interesting for us this year. I had a big test the day after so we decided to order Whole Food's Valentines Dinner. Whole Foods (if you don't know what Whole Foods is, it is a really nice grocery store here) always has these dinners you can buy from them on holidays. We eat lunch there a lot because they have really good warm food so we figured their holiday dinners would be just as good. Nope. It was absolutely AWFUL! yuck and yuck is all we can say. Even Jordan couldn't eat it, and he can usually eat anything! We also wanted to make Cassis Royals. We had many of these on the Mexico Vacation we took the Christmas before last and they were so good! So we bought some cassis and champagne to make them. Well, let's just say that they didn't taste like the ones at the resort. We had to add orange juice to them to make them drinkable. So Valentines Day for us was a terrible meal and a terrible drink! haha! Maybe better next year!
I got Jordan some cigars and a new cutter. Please excuse all the dust on the humidor- I guess I need to dust more often! woops.

He got me these beautiful flowers!

HAHA!

My dad informed me that he couldn't hear any sound on this video. If you can't either-just pay attention to the car that drives up on the driver's side next to Jordan.

The Fort Worth Stockyards & Stockshow

My parents took us to the Fort Worth Stockshow as part of their birthday present to Jordan. I can't believe I have lived here since I was 4 and this was the first time I'd been! We had a blast and the rodeo was awesome!yummy food at the stockshow before the rodeo
Part of the rodeo

We went to Sundance Square before we went to the stockshow and rodeo to see ESPN and everyone else set up for the Superbowl (we went the Sunday prior to the Superbowl). There sure was a lot of things set up and a lot of hustle and bustle!

After the rodeo we went down to the historical stockyards in Fort Worth. It is very touristy and something fun if you've never been. We stopped in a local bar there and had drinks and appetizers. Jordan got fried cow balls (I think they were called something else maybe but that's literally what they are). I tried a little bite (it just tasted like chicken) but I don't think I could eat a whole basket just because of what they are! Jordan really enjoyed them. This bar was actually the first bar to put them on their menu however many years ago.

Cirque du Soleil!

For my birthday Jordan had given me Cirque du Soleil tickets. I absolutely love Cirque du Soleil! This show was called Ovo and it was wonderful! If you have never been to see one of thier shows you must go sometime. It's absolutely incredible what they can make their body's do! We went last Saturday night. They wouldn't let you take pictures but I grabbed these off their website so you can see how intiricate their costumes are and some of the crazy things they do.

Snowy Snowy & Ice!

Well what a crazy weather week it has been in the big D! The temps got soo cold here! And Jordan was conveniently sick earlier this week so I had to take Major out every time. It stinks living in an apartment when you have a dog and it's cold outside! Those of you in Amarillo...apparently we had to borrow your snow plows because DFW doesn't have any! Heard that on the news this morning and thought of all of you up there.
I thought this picture was funny with the palm trees. :)
Major LOVES the snow! He goes absolutely bananas. He loves to plow his nose through it and sprint around like a madman!

Just thought these plants looked cool!

Check out this fountain in the courtyard!

Baby Showers

A few weeks ago I went to my good friend, Stacy's baby shower. Stacy is my big sister from Tri Delta when I was at Baylor. She lives in Florida now so it was wonderful to see her! She is having a baby girl, Ellie. A link to her blog is on the right side of mine (The Morris Family). I don't have any pictures, but her mom did a fabulous job with the decorations! She made everything and there was pink and green everywhere!

Last Saturday I went to Lyric's baby shower. It was so fun because it a small family shower so I got to see my Aunt Nett, cousin Dee, my mom of course, and Lyric's sister and mom. :) She is also having a baby girl, Campbell. http://muirfam.blogspot.com/2011/02/sweet-shower-for-campbell.html

I guess it makes sense that I had a round of baby showers since we just finished with a round of weddings! haha!
