Jack & Karol Visit

Last weekend Jack & Karol came up to visit. I had found this groupon for a whiskey festival so Jack and Jordan went to that Saturday night while Karol and I went to dinner and did some shopping. We had a great visit with them! I was terrible and didn't take any pictures while they were here. We will be at Baylor Homecoming this weekend with them so I'll make sure to take some pictures then!
This is the only picture from the weekend of Jordan and Jack at the Whiskey Festival. It's barley in the picture if you're wondering.

Pine Cove Retreat

A couple of weekends ago we went on a couple's retreat at Pine Cove with our Sunday School class. We have really enjoyed and benefitted from this class so we were really excited to go, and it didn't disappoint. It was a wonderful weekend! We had three really talented speakers come speak to us, and of course we enjoyed the beautiful surrounding of east Texas.

 Zip lining.
 Vow Renewals.

This is our sunday school teacher (on the right) and another teacher that helps out. They're fly fishing.
Jordan and a friend fly fishing.
It was freezing this weekend so we had to bust out our heavy jackets!
This is one of the couples in our Care Group (this is a smaller group within our sunday school that Jordan and I are a part of-there are 6 couples).

Another care group couple-they are playing Bocce Ball. She is due anyday now with their first child!

Major Update

Major had follow-up x-rays today to make sure his knee is healing properly, and they looked great! Jordan and I were pretty nervous about it because it has been really tough to keep him from running, jumping, and playing. Now we can start letting him get back to normal over the next 4 weeks, yay, we have our dog back finally!
Tomorrow will be the 9 week mark since surgery, and his fur has not grown back in...I think the fur is taking longer than the bones and knee to heal haha!
Maybe we should shave the rest of him to match!

Natalie

My cousin's little girl Natalie had her 4th open heart surgery today here in Dallas at Children's, and it went  well! Thank the Lord for answered prayers, and please continue to pray with us for her next few weeks while she is recovering in the hospital.

Puerto Rico: Part II

A couple of days we went into Old San Juan.

Mofongo! Also known as mashed plantains. It was everywhere in San Juan. The picture above is at lunch. It was probably one of our favorite meals, it was delicious! This placed served the Mofongo in this wooden thing along with steak. The tin mugs were full of delicious sangria!

We toured the Castillo del Morro.
 Jordan absorbing some knowledge :)

It started pouring after we visited El Morro so we took shelter in a restaurant and had some drinks at the bar.
We also toured the Bacardi Rum factory. This picture by the ageing barrels turned out really funny but it's also kinda neat.
 Bacardi rum bottles!

This is the building they make the rum in.
