Shay is married!

My good friend, Shay, got married this weekend! It was a fabulous wedding, and we had a wonderful time. I stole this picture off facebook so excuse it's not-so-great quality. Jordan was an usher and I was in the house party so we had an almost full-day of festivities. Jack and Karol came up for it, and it was wonderful to see them too! One of my favorite thing at the reception was these cute little Dr. Pepper floats, which was a fun Baylor-ish thing! :)

Congratulations Shay and Adam!

Interesting

I went to the grocery store today, and I saw something so interesting that I must share! There was a parade/festival today right by the grocery store I go to, and a lot of the attenders were in costumes or outfits or whatever you want to call it. Two men were over by the deli counter, dressed like this:
Police hat.

Heels similar to these.
And speedos. Yes, speedos. Striped, colorful speedos that show lots of skin. And no shirts.

It sure is hard not to stare when two men are dressed like that! It gave me a good laugh though!

woops!

We cracked up at this in the newspaper today!

Date Weekend

Jordan has been traveling a lot lately for work. He flies out early Monday morning and flies back late Thursday night. Needless to say, after a few weeks of this (which I think it's been about 6 weeks or so of this give or take some) we needed some good ole date time together! The weekends toward the end of the summer seemed to be pretty busy so we planned absolutely nothing for Labor Day weekend. It was wonderful! It was a 4-day weekend for both of us. We went and saw The Debt, which was very good. We also tried a new restaurant, went to brunch at Coal Vines, went to dinner, played a soccer game, sunned at the pool, went to the driving range (I actually got a few balls in the air this time! haha) and just enjoyed each other. By the way, if you live in the Dallas area you have to go to Coal Vine's Sunday Brunch and get the quiche-it's so yummy! I was bad about picture taking and took a whopping zero pictures so all you get is my boring writing! :)

A New Place!

We just signed a lease for a condo! We are really excited to be in a new place, but not vey excited to move again. Our current apartment is just too small for us, and we really wanted a backyard for Major. It's still a 1 bedroom condo, but it's 300 square feet bigger and has a backyard and garage. The backyard. We had it written into the lease that we could purchase a new backdoor and install a doggie door for Major. This way I won't have to worry about him when Jordan is out of town and I'm working a 12-hour shift.
This is taken from the living room. The fireplace is there on the left, this is the door to the backyard, and the eat-in kitchen area is there to the right.

Nice kitchen!

Sleepy Major

Major had a mass removed off his paw this morning. He's been so cute since I brought him home, just sleeping away. He is so tired from the anesthesia and somewhat grumpy too I might add! Surgery was a success they said, and it was a benign lump so yay!

Thief!

Jordan traveled last week for work, and when he travels he reads quite a bit on his kindle. I received an email Thursday night confirming the purchase of a kindle book (our Amazon account sends e-mails to my email address whenever something new is bought). No big deal, except of course the title of the book: Confessions of a Vixen. Yes, I know exactly what kind of book this sounds like so when Jordan got home I mentioned the book to him. Well, turned out someone had snatched his kindle from him at the airport and had the nerve to buy some porno book with pictures and all (I might be guilty of looking up the book to see if it was what it sounds like!) We had a good laugh about that! I also ordered him a new one since he was really upset about it getting stolen, and will be traveling a lot the next few months.
